I am an aquatic molecular ecologist researching freshwater biodiversity
as a Biodiversity Postdoctoral Fellow with the Living Earth Collaborative
at Washington University in St. Louis
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests have been shaped by my passion for conserving aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity. I am particularly interested in the ecological consequences of global change and the spread of aquatic invasive species in freshwater systems. A large portion of my research uses molecular approaches to study aquatic biodiversity, population genetics, and host-microbe interactions.
My current postdoctoral research is focused on characterizing the gut microbiomes of native and invasive freshwater fishes. I am completing this work with Dr. Fangqiong Ling (Washington University in St. Louis) and Dr. Jason Knouft (Saint Louis University). |
